To put it simply, I create
design assets for businesses.

But I do it through research and strategy, giving you what you want, but also what your business needs to thrive, in a way that feels authentic to you and resonates with your target audience.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Sidney, founder and lead designer at Desiyn™. With over 14 years of experience, I've worked in various creative roles and hold a bachelor's degree in marketing along with diplomas in interior and graphic design. I've always been a creative person, but it wasn't until 2009, when I first stumbled upon Photoshop, that my passion for design truly took flight.

Since then, I have been honing my skills and have had the pleasure of collaborating with businesses, both large and small, across a range of industries in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. Branding, print, and corporate materials design happen to be my speciality—I'm all about finding that sweet spot between timeless tradition and a modern edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is ‘Desiyn’ spelled wrong?

It's actually an anagram! When you rearrange the letters of our founders name, Sidney, you get 'Desiyn' - as in Graphic Desiyn!

  • First check out our portfolio. If you can imagine your project fitting into the portfolio, then we’re off to a good start!

Before anything is designed, we do a lot of information gathering to formulate a strategy; acting as the foundation of your new brand and guiding the design process. You’ll be involved throughout the entire process, and feedback is prompted and encouraged every step of the way to ensure we’re always on the same page!

All packages include 2 complimentary rounds of revisions, so you can be confident your brand identity will be something you love. Plus, in the rare event something just isn’t clicking, you can always purchase more rounds of revisions.

  • Including but not limited to:

    • Font licences (if applicable)

    • Photography or Image Sourcing (if applicable)

    • Additional revision rounds (more than 2 revisions are charged at an hourly rate)

    • Copywriting

    • Canva subscription

    • Printing Fees

  • In the "Define" stage of our design process we will present two mood board directions for you to choose from. From there, we use the one-concept-method. The one-concept-method is a popular approach in the industry that has proven its worth time and time again. Rather than presenting multiple watered-down concepts and spreading both of our time and resources thin, we explore a variety of possibilities behind the scenes and present only the strongest one to you. After all, why present anything but the best?

As a business owner, it can be challenging to look at your business objectively. That's where the one-concept-method comes in. It puts strategy at the heart of the design process. While it may be tempting to design something that appeals to your personal preferences, that's not the ultimate goal. Presenting multiple options can lead to "Frankensteining," where the client mixes and matches their favourite bits from each option into one "super-design." This can result in an in-cohesive design that doesn't align with the strategy and may not work in real-world settings like packaging, embroidery, or signage.

Of course, we welcome your feedback in the design process, but it shouldn't be the only guiding factor! A brand identity should appeal to and resonate with your audience, not just you. The one-concept-method also aims to streamline the design process and minimise the number of decisions you have to make. As professional designers, we know our craft, and we're here to guide you through the process.

  • Branding is most impactful when it's cohesive. When you try to piece together different elements from existing branding, it can often look disjointed, which ultimately doesn't speak to your target audience. To guarantee the best outcome for your project and the quality of the work, we prefer to not incorporate previous logos or design elements.

  • We can help you with naming, taglines, mission statements, or other short messaging for your brand. But when it comes to lengthy copy for presentations, brochures, websites, etc, we can refer you to a Copywriter.

  • Absolutely! We welcome clients from all around the world. We understand that time zones and cultural differences can play a role, so we'll work together to establish a project timeline that works for both of us. Communication is key, and as long as we can communicate in English, we're more than happy to work with you to bring your project to life!

  • Yes, of course! We understand design can be a big investment. Typically all projects require a 50% deposit upon signing to reserve your spot in our calendar, with the remaining balance billed towards the end of the project, before final files are delivered.
